Watching the news regarding the Riots raging throughout the various cities throughout the United Kingdom, hosts a range of feelings towards myself and the vast public that watch it. The point that the media can document the event through the use of various mediums provides viewers with insight into the disgraceful ongoings. I feel like recently I haven’t shot any images that I would consider for my own personal satisfaction, instead i’ve been doing loads of commercial work and weddings. All of which I have extremely enjoyed especially the commercial work.
Though I think despite my love for doing it, I miss having the time to go out with my film camera on the streets and be free on what to photograph, something I think im going to spend all next week doing. I remember photographing a small protest in Kingston Upon Hull (Image from this shown Below) not long ago and I really enjoyed the aspect of documenting the event in my own style and in the theme of Street Photography.
